Author: Trevor Boyer
February 2008  -

Thanks to Proud Audio Visual, this Sacramento, California, eatery managed to maintain its quaint
architectural style while upgrading its audio and video capabilities far beyond that of its 1860s origins.
Three Monkeys Restaurant now boasts a multi-zone audio system that integrates in-house paging
and DirectTV audio and video - perfect for the eight plasma screens, the 40-inch LCD screen in the
lobby, open-ceiling loudspeakers, and the equipment in the Capitol Room, a private dining area with
total AV integration operating on a completely different zone.

Proud Audio Visual - was hired to design and install a turn key AV system to fit with in the budget for the
new Mountain House community board room.  The main objective was to have the capability to
broadcasting live meeting
s to the web while creating digital archived recordings of the meetings.  The
system was value engineered to allow for multi-media presentation capabilities and had to be simple
enough for live broadcasts to be run by a single staff member.  The microphone system is integrated
into the control system allowing the president to turn on/off any mic in the system through a simple
flush mounted push button control panel located in the dais.  Through a touch of a button on each
Shure desk top microphone a staff member can put in a request to speak, and the corresponding mic
will flash on the presidents control panel indicating that a staff member has requested to speak.  When
a microphone is turned on the cameras will automatically pan and zoom to the corresponding mic.  A
duplicated microphone control interface can be accessed  through a custom programmed software
interface on the clerks computer on the LAN which controls the presentation system and the outgoing
broadcast feed.
